The Thorobreds

You can never have too much fun and that's what the Kentucky Derby Festival is all about. The Derby Festival is one of the most celebrated organizations in the world, and we want you to be a part of our celebration. The Thorobreds began as our core volunteer organization in 1974, with 500 members of The Thorobreds working behind the scenes to help Festival events run seamlessly. While there are still many Thorobreds whose main goal is to volunteer, the program has transitioned into the Festivals VIP membership program.

In addition, you'll be helping the Derby Festival give back to the community. The Kentucky Derby Festival and it's Foundation donate over $300,000 annually to various local projects, causes and other organizations.
