Board of Directors
This is not your ordinary civic board. No volunteer group brings more commitment, talent and creativity than the 75 devoted members of the Festival's Board of Directors. In addition to chairing many of the Festival's events, this group sets the overall policy for the not-for-profit civic organization. They are the movers and shakers of this community and they are hard at work all year planning the next Derby Festival. You may only see them in Pegasus blazers or behind the wheel of an official Festival vehicle in the spring, but they often go unnoticed attending meeting after meeting in the dead of winter. These dedicated volunteers not only give of their time, but their treasure as well. Board members must pay for their jacket, car insurance and even the tickets for the events they work on.
