The 21st annual Derby Festival 100 Black Men of Louisville Derby Gala will be held at the Kentucky International Convention Center in the Cascade Ballroom. The featured entertainment will be national recording artist Frankie Beverly & Maze. The attire for the event is formal

The 100 Black Men of Louisville organization offers financial assistance to students in their high school mentoring program to assist them in entering college and their collegiate 100 mentoring program to help students continue their pursuit of academic excellence at UofL, KSU and UofK. In order to be eligible for selection, these youths must excel in school, stay off drugs and act as big brothers & big sisters and peer leaders at their respective schools. Some of the students are chosen to participate in national academic competitions and their travel expenses are paid. The 100 chapter has open its doors to African- American females at the university level.
