Nearly a dozen radio stations from around Kentucky and and other states broadcast their morning shows live from the Kentucky Derby Museum.

The on-air talent interview Derby Festival guests such as the Queen & Royal Court, 2012 Festival Chair, KDF President and CEO Mike Berry, event chairs from the U.S. Bank Great BalloonFest to Thunder Over Louisville, and key volunteers. Local politicians, coaches, jockeys, trainers and Courier-Journal columnists will make the radio rounds and the Governor of Kentucky may just make a visit.

The event began as a regional outreach effort of the Derby Festival to promote not only Festival and Derby events, but the entire state as a tourism destination throughout the year.
