If you and your colleagues love having FUN, live for ADVENTURE, and enjoy a CHALLENGE, then this event is for you!

With Patrick Henry Hughes trumpeting the official “call to the post” and honorary chairman Pat Day signaling the start of the race, the Kentucky Derby Festival Battle of the Bounce will leap into its fifth year! 

Four member teams from local companies and organizations will compete to finish an obstacle course with the fastest time.  Racers will be climbing, crawling, sliding and jumping their way through this one of a kind relay race.

This year’s inflatable course, furnished by Louisville Inflatables, will feature four incredible obstacles.  *Each team will be challenged by a 21 foot dual rock climbing wall, a human hamster ball race, a huge inflatable obstacle course and finally bouncing atop an inflatable bouncing pony to the finish line!  This is truly a “must see” event. 

The winning team will receive the “Inflatable Ego” (traveling trophy), the opportunity to participate in the 2010 Pegasus Parade, bragging rights and other great prizes.

Teams are encouraged to come dressed in a “team theme”.  Be creative and dress to impress our judges, Kelly K. from WDJX and Candyce Clifft from FOX41.  Last year we had everything from Gene Simmons and the Kiss Jockeys to Butterflies and Bumble Bees. 

The cost to participate is $75 per person.  Participants are encouraged to pay the fee by collecting pledges to cover the entry fee from family, friends and co-workers.  The two individuals that raise the most pledge money will receive a “Bounce Around Kentuckiana” package consisting of various gift cards to Kentucky and Indiana restaurants and main attractions.  All monies received will benefit Christian Care Communities, a not-for-profit organization providing programs and services for older adults throughout Kentucky.

Participants and spectators of this one of a kind event will enjoy being a part of this fast paced exciting race!  Gather some of your coworkers and join us for some fun at the Waterfront!
