The Kentucky Derby Festival Pegasus Pin Sponsorship Grand Prize Drawings will be held on WAVE 3 TV broadcasts beginning Thursday, May 12, through Wednesday, May 18 (excluding Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15). Winners will be posted online at PegasusPins.com and contacted following each drawing. To be eligible for the grand prize drawings, Gold Instant Win Pins must be registered no later than 5 PM, Tuesday, May 10, 2011.
This year, inside each pin envelope is a membership card with a "scratch-off" bar that hides a unique 12-digit alphanumeric code. Pin purchasers will use this code to register online at www.pegasuspins.com.
Registering online can be done in five easy steps: Step 1) Register your pin by entering the alphanumeric code from your pin card; Step 2) Select two discount coupons from 11 participating retailers (in addition to getting two coupons for Derby Festival merchandise or events); Step 3) Super-fy your pin by entering additional information about yourself; Step 4) Play the Spin and Win Game to become an instant prize winner; and Step 5) Check your email inbox to receive your coupons and print them out.

The Pegasus Pin is the community's primary way to support Derby Festival events. Revenue generated from the pins helps to underwrite (along with corporate sponsorship) the many free events of the not-for-profit Derby Festival, such as Thunder Over Louisville and the U.S. Bank Great BalloonFest. The Kentucky Derby Festival, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit civic organization that must raise all its funds privately to produce the annual three-week slate of more than seventy events. In addition to support from corporate sponsorship and merchandising royalties, the community actually helps produce the events it enjoys through personal contributions with the Pegasus Pin Program.
