U.S. Bank Great Balloon Glimmer
to Light Up Waterfront Park
 
The sixth annual U.S. Bank Great Balloon Glimmer will be held on Thursday, April 22, at Kroger's Fest-a-Ville on the Waterfront.  The Glimmer is just one of five balloon events being held during the U.S. Bank Great BalloonFest from April 22 through April 24.

In 2009, the Glimmer got a break in the weather and about 15 balloons fired up on the Great Lawn to kick off the balloon weekend and the grand opening of Kroger's Kentucky Derby Fest-a-Ville on the Waterfront. A crowd of roughly 3,000 watched the balloons glow and light up the night sky.

The Glimmer is a "mini-glow," which kicks-off a weekend full of ballooning events. Balloons will light up on the Great Lawn of Waterfront Park for opening night of Kroger's Fest-a-Ville and the Chow Wagon, on Thursday, April 22.  Patrons are invited to come down to the Waterfront to enjoy the Glimmer and live music broadcast by Lite 106.9 WVEZ.
