The Kentucky Derby Festival will this week hold an open casting call and on-location video shoot for its 2010 television advertising campaign, “The Dr. Derby Show.” The casting call will be held on THURSDAY, FEB. 18, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Tumbleweed on the Waterfront, 1201 River Road.

Talent scouts will be on hand to select members of the public to appear as part of a studio audience for the Derby Festival’s television commercial campaign, which will feature a character called Dr. Derby interacting with an audience in a talk show setting. Participants in the on-location shoot must be available on FRIDAY, FEB. 19, from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. for the television shoot. 

The footage will be used to promote various 2010 Kentucky Derby Festival events. Participants must be at least 18 years of age with proof of identification.
