Tickets are still available for the 2009 Wazoo Sports Derby Festival Basketball Classic presented by papajohns.com, to be played Saturday, April 11, at Freedom Hall.

The 21-player game roster includes three McDonald's All-Americans, four University of Louisville recruits, two University of Kentucky signees and three Indiana University recruits. Ten of the players on the roster are ranked among the Top 50 nationally by recruiting service Rivals.com. The players will also participate in the Wazoo Sports Night of Future Stars TONIGHT at Bellarmine University's Knights Hall.

The players will take part in a Five-Star Basketball Youth Camp at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, at Central High School, 1130 West Chestnut Street. The players and coaches from the Basketball Classic will introduce themselves with a "Life Skill Exercise" and then break into groups for individual basketball drills with the youngsters.

Five-Star Basketball Camps were first held in 1966, said Leigh Klein, President of Five-Star. More than 360 Five-Star Camp participants have played in the NBA, including Michael Jordan, Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwayne Wade and Vince Carter. University of Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari has coached at Five-Star camps in the past. Said Klein: "We wanted John Calipari as part of Five-Star because he values fundamentals and technique. Couple that with his ability to recruit and connect with kids, and I think we'll see Kentucky in the Final Four very soon."

Wazoo Sports, a high school sports broadcast network with offices in London, Ky., Knoxville, Tenn., and Benton, Ky., is the new title sponsor of the Derby Festival Basketball Classic. The new presenting sponsor for the game is papajohns.com. Contributing sponsors are: adidas, Delta Air Lines and 99.7 DJX.

Admission to the Wazoo Sports Night of the Future Stars TONIGHT is free with a ticket to the Basketball Classic. Some of the event's most exciting moments have occurred during the Slam Dunk and 2-on-2 competition and 3-point shootout. There will also be a one-hour autograph-signing session following the event.

Again in 2009, fans at the game can vote for their Fan Favorite. Just text the word BALL to 28553* to vote for the best basketball player in the game. *Standard text messaging rates apply.
